Ingredients:
- 2 cups grated fresh coconut
- 1 cup/250g caster sugar
- 1/2 cup/100ml fresh cream
- pinch of cardamom powder
- 2 tablespoons powdered/icing sugar
- 1/2 tablespoon ghee
- 1 tablespoon chocolate powder (optional)
Preparation:
- Heat a non-stick pan on medium heat.
- Add the cream, coconut, sugar and cardamom powder. Cook continuously for 15 minutes or until the mixture turns golden brown.
- Remove from the heat and add the powdered/icing sugar. Mix thoroughly.
- Grease a thali with ghee and pour in the coconut mixture. Spread evenly.
- Cool and cut into diamonds or squares.
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
