How to make a Rabbit Burger

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground rabbit meat
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 4 burger buns
  • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, cheese, mustard, mayonnaise

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground rabbit meat, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, chopped onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly distributed.
  2. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty. Place the patties on a plate and cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the patties to firm up.
  3. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Brush the grates with oil to prevent sticking.
  4. Cook the rabbit burgers for 4-5 minutes per side, or until they are cooked through and reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
  5. Assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a bun and adding any desired toppings, such as lettuce, tomato, cheese, mustard, or mayonnaise.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious rabbit burger!
