Chinese Bayberry Jam

- 4 cups Chinese bayberries, washed and pitted
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 cup water

- Potato masher
- Canning jars
- Ladle

Preparation:
- Preparation (10 minutes):
- Place the Chinese bayberries in a large pot and add the water.
- Cooking (30 minutes):
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes, until the fruit is soft.
- Use a potato masher to mash the bayberries.
- Add the sugar and lemon juice, stirring until the sugar is dissolved.
- Continue to simmer for another 20 minutes, or until the mixture thickens to your desired consistency.
- Canning (20 minutes):
- Sterilize canning jars by boiling them in water for 10 minutes.

Chinese Bayberry Smoothie
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Chinese bayberries, washed and pitted
- 1 banana
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1 tbsp honey
- Ice cubes (optional)
