How to Prepare Honey Ginger Shrimp

A great Vietnamese treasure. Honey ginger shrimp is simple to make. The large shrimps are marinated in their sauce before stir-frying in a wok. adding the honey ate the very last second creates a wonderful nutty and sweet deliciousness.

To generate a more impressive appearance to the shrimps, just peel and leave heads and tails on the shrimp.

Serves 4

Preparation: 10 minutes, Cooking time: 10 minutes 

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb shrimp – peeled and deveined
  • 1 teaspoon garlic – chopped
  • 1 tablespoon chopped chili or red pepper flakes
  • thumb sized piece of ginger
  • 1/2 yellow onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • salt and ground black pepper

Preparation:

  1. Heat the sunflower oil and red pepper flakes in a large skillet or wok over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onions, garlic, ginger and honey; cook and stir until fragrant.
  3. Add the shrimp, and cook for 5 minutes, stirring as needed, until shrimp are pink and opaque.
  4. Serve immediately.
