The flower of Eyebright, also known as Euphrasia, looks a bit like a bloodshot eye, which may be why, since the 14th Century, the plant has been valued for all eye problems from conjunctivitis to blindness. An old French term for Eyebright is ‘Casse-Lunettes’, which translates as ‘break your glasses’ which presumably is what can be done after being cured by the herb !

Availability Of Eyebright

Most herbalists and whole food shops offer the dried, organic leaves of eyebright in 50g  and 100g  amounts.
