Phyllanthin

Phyllanthin found in many Phyllanthus species has various biochemical and pharmacological properties especially on its antioxidative and hepatoprotective effects.

Phyllanthin is a major bioactive lignan component often extracted from the species, P. amarus (Schum. et Thonn).

It has been fully characterised (Hanh et al., 2014).
