BRI Nutrition are a US based supplement provider with a pedigree in offering novel dietary products. BRI are generally careful with their claims and do not state any cures. Their marketing statements hint at ‘promotion’, ‘helpfulness’, ‘boosting’ properties for their active ingredients.
Some notable successes include their Odorless Garlic with parsley seed oil in a soft gel format. It is the number one seller on Amazon in the USA in the Garlic Herbal Supplements category. Garlic (Allium sativum) is well known for a number of health-related properties in traditional medicine and there is a growing body of clinical evidence being gathered. Much of this relates to its antimicrobial and antioxidant benefits. Allicin is the principal component in garlic although there are a number of other compounds with health benefits such as quercetin. A number of product claims are made relating to promoting good cardiovascular health, maintaining ‘normal’ cholesterol levels, boosting the immune system and offering detoxification (detox) and cleansing abilities. It’s not clear what cleansing explicitly refers to in this instance but we can imagine !
Garlic is of course an essential ingredient in most cuisines from around the world. The flavour is highly pungent but appears to linger heavily on the breath.
Parsley seed oil (Petroselinum crispum) is added to help freshen the breath.
